Ahead of his upcoming one-man fringe theatre play, ‘In Loyal Company’ at Warehouse Four (Weds 6th March), we caught up with award winning English actor David William Bryan to ask him a few ‘off the wall’ questions. Here’s what he had to say…
What’s the most interesting thing about you that we wouldn’t learn from your resume?
I once sat on a tiny table for 30 hours to prove to my mate I could do it for longer than him.
What is the funniest thing that has happened to you recently?
Probably watching a film I was in and realising I sounded like I’d just breathed in helium. I messaged the director asking what he’d done to my voice in post production. He assured me it was my TV.
What’s your worst experience on stage?
Having to perform a show immediately after receiving the news my Nan had died.
What’s your best experience on stage?
Seeing how proud my Mum and Dad are when they see my work.
What is your least favorite thing about humanity?
People judging each other without knowing enough.
What’s the weirdest place you’ve ever performed?
In the pitch dark when I had a powercut during a recent show. People started getting their phones out and shining their torches on me. It was cool.
How many days have you gone without showering?
My entire childhood. We only had a bathtub.
Cats or dogs?
What would I find in your refrigerator?
Nothing, I don’t own one. My mum’s is pretty full though. Lots of yoghurts.
If you could only choose one song to play every time you walked into a room for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Any Kid Cudi song
If you couldn’t be an actor, what’s your backup plan?
There isn’t one.
Worst decision you ever made?
Not getting honest with myself about what I was ACTUALLY good at earlier in life.
What was the last gift you gave someone? And to whom?
A bright purple fit bit to my girlfriend. She returned it and bought a pink jumper.
Any advice for your previous boss?
We finish the interview and you step outside the office and find a lottery ticket that ends up winning $10 million. What would you do?
Wonder why an American lottery ticket was on the floor in England.
