The Dubai Department of Tourism & Commerce Marketing (DTCM) has issued an updated statement extending the economic incentives packages provided by Dubai government.
The move comes as the city announced the resumption of its calendar of conferences, meetings and exhibitions as of 15 September.
Now, with locally organised meetings taking place and international meetings returning to the city from October 1st, the guidelines focus on protecting the health and safety of all participants, including delegates and staff, while ensuring they are able to host and experience impactful meetings that meet the needs of all stakeholders involved.
Despite the incentive measures, the local event industry continues to suffer heavily from the financial fallout of Covid-19, with many event professionals still not able to return to work. Whilst some industry commentators hope for a speedy recovery, many are looking towards September 2021 before seeing any meaningful return to business.
